Cobb's Wren (Southern House Wren) Troglodytes aëdon cobbi 

Length: 12 - 13 cm ( 4.5 - 5.25 inches) Falkland Islands 'Cobb's Wren' ' Rock Wren'. Resident breeder, stocky little brown bird, widespread especially on islands with tussac but very often seen on boulder beaches where it feeds on small amphipods and insect found on kelp deposits and tussac. 

Range: T. aëdon cobbi is unique to the Falklands but other races are widespread down from Canada to the USA and through South America.
